What I try to do is put each try into some sort of context within the game. Therefore I sometimes include quite a bit of buildup to the tries. I also include the resulting conversion, whether it is successful or not.

Fergus Slattery was simply class
Ah... this makes the Springboks back to back RWC wins and Ireland still stuck with the QF chokes so much sweeter.
Ja, en bly jy maar lekker tussen dje Kaffertjies en skree vir jou kafferbokke
Hahah yh gotta follow in the Al Blacks footsteps aye bud 😂😂
I miss rugby from this era
Was at this game .. A memory forever Eddie is a major plus here in commentary ❤
Great times❤
most humans would have died from
plaice became a turbut so he did
oops i do not advise violence as youtube tell me
Love you Jim no many people can stand after you have punched them
Duckham sends the cameraman in the wrong direction!
Rugby greatest times ever, it has never been better since. Congratulations to that Welch team Bennett, Williams, Edwards,…..,
Lucky to be taught Rugby at High School by John Bevan, I also thing he taught RE?
For another take on this classic moment in 6 Nations history, get the video with the French Commentary - it's another Classic!
Just world class.
Every time I see this video it makes my hair stand up
I watchi this once a month. Just quality.
Wayne Barnes is a c u n t if that was Ireland who did that to wales. We would be penalised.
The backs just sauntering in 😂😂😂
Great referee
4:04 The absolute fear and resignation in Brian Moores voice is palpable
Paige should have left it to the ref
One of the most spintingling moments of rugby to ever watch no doubt about that
Keith Earls on fire. Devin Toner showing he is not just for line outs. Cj we miss you. And Johnny is King. Even if he's a grumpy king
Proper barney, that. Jim on points, I'd say.
Cliff Morgan's commentary is almost as good as the try.
The last pass was forward, anyway
The number of high tackles that the ABs tried to make is horrific
I’m Welsh but have to say what a great player David Duckham was.
If you watch, Paice lands far more
Big Jim is quality over quantity lol
One of those rare occasions when the stars align everythings perfect the day the teams the commentary one of the greatest sporting moments ever absolutely wonderful.
RIP Eddie, a great rugby man, impartial and fair! Incredible passage of play by two great teams and refereed by the best man ever to do the job Nigel Owens!
Le match du siècle Le jeu avec un Grand J
I was 7yrs watching this & hooked by rugby
The most amazing thing about this game was it took 36 phases before the commentator mentioned the phase count 🧐
AF8 RIP
I was at this game sitting with the Irish fans. Place went ballistic for about 3 mins after he made it. Best rugby game I’ve ever witnessed live by far
And both these sides are gone, Wasps went from London club to midlands. Lost their way.
Leamy, Heaslip, Wally : )
Yet Keith Gleeson of Leinster kept him off a 2003 RWC xv. Imagine that.
For me this was every bit as good a try as Gareth's. A try for the connoisseur.
I was at the match in Paris - it was of the most extraordinary sporting events I've ever witnessed - the tension was unbearable - the French crowd were singing Allez Les Bleus thinking victory was theirs - Ireland were not giving up as they went through phase after phase knowing one error and it was all over - it seemed to go on for an eternity - then that one opportunity finally arrived for Sexton to launch a long range drop goal effort - up high in the air it went and the whole crowd held its breath - it was heading for goal and finally dropped over the cross bar with inches to spare - the ecstatic reaction from the Irish fans in the stadium was an absolute outpouring of joy - The French fans were stunned into silence - What an epic finish and Ireland would go onto win the Grand Slam beating England at Twickers on St Patrick's Day in the snow - Brilliant memories all round.
I forgot that Duckham sidestep.
Brillaint
As Phil Bennett said in jest. "I sidestepped three All Blacks and all I got was arthritis. Gareth ran straight and got a knighthood!"
Wawa while I was only six years old man but what a try from JPR Williams I actually love the dummy on the black player completely done him that was your class the hole build up
Quite wonderful rugby from some of the greatest players ever to grace the game. I watched this one live and this short clip brings back fantastic memories.
What can touch a man like that? Nothing and nobody. Hero, the greatest ever
How could you not love him. The year I dod my O levels
Mutton Chops himself, what an entertainer an absolute Welsh legend & all round good egg!!
Truly magnificent! Great man , great player. Rest in peace J.P.R.
